The first Aston Martin built at Newport Pagnell, and the car that set the shape of every DB that followed. Its aluminium body was built to Touring of Milan's Superleggera principle — panels draped over a cage of small-diameter tubes — around a new 3.7-litre twin-cam straight-six by Tadek Marek.
