Dino 246 GT

The Dino's compact V6 came about because Ferrari needed the engine built in volume to satisfy Formula 2 homologation, which is why Fiat sold a car of its own using the same family of engine. In the 246 it grew to 2.4 litres, small by Maranello standards but enough to make a car that has always been prized for balance rather than brute force.
