Its 4.5-litre V8 arrived with more power per litre than any naturally aspirated road car engine before it. The Speciale also introduced Side Slip Control, the software that lets the car allow a measured amount of slide rather than shutting it down, and it is widely treated as the high-water mark of Ferrari's naturally aspirated V8s.
