An ordinary Vauxhall saloon rebuilt by Lotus around a twin-turbocharged 3.6-litre straight-six and a six-speed gearbox borrowed from the Corvette ZR-1. At a claimed 176mph it was the fastest four-door car in the world, which prompted a genuine campaign in the British press to have it banned from sale.
